Moraine State Park

For Fathers Day we went to Moraine State Park- We first hung out by the lake- Jess and I read while the boys played horseshoes. Then we got hungry so we drove over to the north shore but all the grills were taken so we found a picnic spot and barbecued some steaks and had a nice lunch. Then we went swimming in the lake and read more and played horseshoes again. It was a beautiful day!

Last summer we had Five Guys in the square and so a few of us would go regularly(Kacie and I)! We loved it- this summer it is only 10 miles away but it takes about 20 minutes to get there depending on traffic. :( We are usually at the pool when we start talking about it and then we all start craving it so we hop in the car and make a trip to down town Pittsburgh for Five Guys. We have also tried a few different places around here. Brother Grimms is really close to our apartments and the only thing around us. It always smells good when we walk pass so we decided to try it one night..........people definitely don't go there for the food! It was a disappointment but they did have cool red chairs.  

~Pittsburghs Cultural District~

 Adam is taking 10 credits online this summer, and I don't know how he gets everything done!! One of the classes he is taking is FA100.  He's has to go to an event in 6 different categories...dance, choir, band/orchestra, theater, and Art, so we now know our way around Pittsburghs cultural district. It has been fun going out and taking advantage of the many things Pittsburgh has to offer. We have been to Heinz Hall and listened to the Pittsburgh Orchestra Symphony, which is amazing. We went to the Three Rivers Art festival in the cultural district and saw a few art exhibits but it ended up being a huge gay pride day with tons of parades so we left...it wasn't our scene. We went to the musical Miss Saigon and have a few more events to go to. We have had a lot of fun going out and just hanging out!

Summer BBQ's

 My favorite thing about summer is being able to hang out with my family! It is so fun to get together and bbq and play games.

Girls just wanna have fun

With our husbands working all the time we have girl time a lot! It has been a lot of fun making new friends and doing fun things. We have been shopping like crazy, working at the mall, working out, and having fun. We celebrated Jess's 22nd birthday! I can't believe my little sister is that old. We went to Red Robin for lunch and then later that night we went out in the pouring rain to get hot chocolate and ended the night with cupcakes and cake!
