The cutest dates a girl could have!
<26>
I can't believe I am 26! I had a great birthday! My Mom was up and we went to the temple.
I have started to go Monday mornings with some sisters in my ward and I love it. It is such a small thing that has made such a huge difference. I love the temple and I am so grateful that Adam doesn't have to work while going to school so he can watch the babe. Adam is such a huge help, I don't know what I would do with out him.
My Mom left that day and it was so sad to see her go. But before she left we did have a scrumptious lunch at Kneaders.
Later that day we went shopping and ate at the Cheesecake Factory! yummy! It was a great birthday.
Valentines/Birthday weekend we had a date night with some friends from our ward while my Mom watched Liam. It was a "Chopped" theme, and it was really fun. Two couples each have one course to make, both using the same ingredients. Adam and I had one of the appetizers and we had 40 minutes after to make and prepare it using all the ingredients. We had Sage sausage, raisins, shitake mushrooms, and rosemary bread.
We cut up the bread and toasted it and made a dip with the rest of the ingredients.
I browned the sausage and added the mushrooms and some spinach while mixing cream cheese, parmesan and romano cheese and alfredo sauce together. I then added everything together along with the raisins and topped it off with some mozzarella cheese and put it in the oven for the remainder of the time.
It was fun and it ended up tasting pretty good. That night we went to a movie. The Vow. I loved it. It was so fun to get out of the house and just be with Adam and not have to worry about Liam.
For Valentines day we stayed in and I made Chicken Cordon Blue. I had never made it before and I mixed two recipes. It ended up being a little salty. But we washed it down with sparkling cider and delicious Magelby's chocolate cake.
Adam planned a romantic and relaxing evening in! It was so cute. He made a "spa" out of our upstairs and put signs on the doors. He filled a bath with lavender bubble bath and had scented candles lit. He let me relax while he put Liam to sleep. Then he gave me a massage. It was heavenly and the perfect night.
